Lainee Hermsen has had a passion for style, beauty and fashion since a young age. She always made her own ball gowns at high school etc.This was followed by her 3 years of study in Fashion Design at the Design and Arts College of New Zealand.

Lainee opened a boutique store in Nelson at the age of 21, selling her own range of streetwear (Mover Original Streetwear) which was produced on-site in her studio. During this time Lainee also worked on made to order projects such as wedding and ball gowns.

It seemed to be a great experience each time, and after a few years it became evident that this was a great avenue for her, as she enjoyed working with each individual and seeing the customer so happy at the end before their big event.

Lainee moved to a new studio attached to a fabric shop in Nelson where she spent 2 years focussed on made to fit wedding gowns, bridal party, and ball gowns.

Her customer base grew so fast through word of mouth that she Is now able to work from her beautiful sunny studio at home near the Miyazu gardens in Nelson. Lainee is now able to order many different fabrics, from silk and satin to chiffons and laces. These are all available as samples to view at her studio.
